Blind Ambition Campaign: Make Audio Description Mandatory for All TV Platforms

At Blind Ambition, we believe entertainment should be accessible to all. Yet, millions of blind and visually impaired people are excluded due to the lack of audio description (AD) on many TV platforms. Recently, Tim Dixon, a member of our WhatsApp community, raised concerns about Now TV’s failure to provide AD, sparking a powerful campaign for change.

As Seema Flower, founder of Blind Ambition, explains: “Accessibility isn’t a luxury—it’s a fundamental right. Audio description ensures blind audiences are included in the cultural experiences that unite us.”

Inspired by Tim’s advocacy and Chris McCausland’s powerful Alternative Christmas Message, we’re calling for mandatory AD on all TV and streaming platforms. Join us in demanding a world where entertainment is truly inclusive.
