This course is aimed at anyone who is experiencing sight loss and wishing to feel more confident in day-to-day life. Experiencing sight lost can come with a whole host of challenges from loss of confidence, anxiety, low mood to social isolation. At BlindAmbition we can support you to develop the skills to manage life’s challenges.

The course includes 10 virtual two-hour interactive workshops drawing on principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and understanding of our nervous system. ACT aims to help people live a meaningful life while handling pain and stress – an inevitable part of life.

The course has been co-designed with individuals with lived experience of sight loss and is based on feedback received from blind and partially sighted people. You will be part of a small group and learn practical techniques that build your capacity to manage stress, boost your resilience and increase your self-confidence.

BlindAmbition have once again partnered with Senior Clinical Psychologist, Dr Anneka Kumar, to deliver this course. Anneka is experienced in supporting individuals with sight loss and has 9 years’ experience working in the NHS and charity sector.
