We are delighted to announce that Seema Flower, founder of Blind Ambition, has been nominated for the Heroes Awards 2025, held at the London Hilton, Park Lane on 26th November. The Heroes Awards recognise those who go above and beyond in their work — individuals who improve situations in their communities or support their teams in extraordinary ways. Heroes Awards

Seema’s nomination is a recognition of Blind Ambition’s mission: making Street Works and public spaces genuinely inclusive for blind and partially sighted people. Through our training, audits, consulting and lived experience, we’ve sought to move beyond compliance, pushing for accessibility, dignity and safety in every environment. This nomination underscores the value of that work and the impact it’s having.

We see this as more than an honour — it’s a responsibility. It motivates us to keep raising standards and to amplify the voices of blind and partially sighted people, ensuring their needs are not just accommodated but central to design, policy and training.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far — our participants, partners, lived-experience community, and the blind and partially sighted people whose insights shape every module. No matter what happens on the night, this nomination is a victory for all of us.
